EPILOGUE: The Kripked Fangirl

"Jared, please don't--"

"You lost the bet," Jared points out, patting him on the ass. "Besides, we owe them a lot. You owe them a lot."

Jensen groans and makes a face at himself in the mirror, where he's trying to make his hair behave itself for the panel. Damn Jared and his fucking big hands, making him come in less than three minutes. That's just pathetic. He probably deserves public humiliation.

Just not this particular public humiliation. "Modest, aren't we?"

Jared laughs. "You love me and you know it."

"I do," Jensen admits grudgingly. "I'm just not sure I love you this much."

"Jensen. These are my friends. They're the reason I pulled my head out of my ass. I wanna give them this."

Jensen sighs. "I can shove you off, right?"

Jared grins. "Damn straight."

"Fiiine."

*~*~*

"Yeah, I love you too, bitch," Jared says, and reaches over to pull at Jensen's head, giving him a smack on the lips that echoes through the mikes.

The room goes absolutely silent and still, except for a few small, desperate whimpers.

"Get off me, asshole," Jensen grumbles, shoving him off and grinning like it's all a big joke. Eric grins, too, and makes some sorta comment about a big happy family, and the panel keeps going.

It isn't till the panel's over and the fangirls start to get outside the room that the screaming begins.

Jensen's pretty sure the lobby is still echoing when they leave two days later.

This was so great! From your description of spn fandom to your depiction of Jensen and Jared's interactions, the entire story flowed really well (and made me laugh out loud more than once). It was a fun story to read.

I absolutely loved this! I could actually relate to Jared when it came to "elljay" and "squeeing" and such, because I still use wiki all the time to figure out what stuff means. This was amazing and written perfectly and beautifully and I was enthralled. Fangirls are awesome!
Oh goodness and the song! that was amazing.
And Sandy was so sweet.

Listened to juice817’s podfic of this. THIS WAS SUCH A FUN STORY. I enjoyed every second of it. It was so wonderfully paced from start to finish; it took Jared just absolutely enough time to be introduced to fandom, to start reading fic, to figure out his feelings, and then finally hook up with Jensen. I loved the laughter-and-stumble-filled sex scene. <3 I loved the way you made LJ seem so precise and coherent. <3 Is there anything about this fic I did not love? No! Thanks so much for writing it. :D One of my favorite parts may have been beer-happy Jared telling Jensen he wished they would’ve gone to college together, and then listing tons of AU-fic setups. ♥ Also, thanks for compiling a rec page full of all the fics you mention! I’ve read some of them, but not all, so what a find! And! And! I didn’t even know of the ballad’s existence, so now I feel like a knowledgeable insider.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA, amazing oh my god. this is gorgeous. i love the meta breakdown - the way the fangirls are sorted by type and activity, the amused incomprehension at the fangirl language ("Adopt the astronaut bunny."), the sign-countersign exchanges, and jared's slow slide into madness. this is meta crack at its finest - i especially love the warm fondness that runs through the whole thing, as much a love letter to fandom as to the boys. charming in every way!
